Im trying to educate myself. Currently devouring Lost Connections by Johann Hari which is looking into a different perspective on what causes depression and anxiety. I tend to aboid books like this but like I said Im trying to educate myself and with as many perspectives on mental health as I can
Its a challenging book but incredibly written. Its speakingg to me on a real personal level and is offering a different take on the mental illness = broken brain/chemical imbalance that we have been told.
Still reading. Not sure how much I agree with it yet but its putting up a convincing case and I think its because it is challenging my own perception of my Anxiety which is difficult
Its not a self help and more research based so hopefully this will influence positively on my recovery.
